TCS: PIONEERING NEW FRONTIERS!
The Timmerman Composite Squadron (TCS) is a pioneering squadron for the Wisconsin Wing and the Civil Air Patrol as a whole. It has been comprised of three units, merging to form one, with the goal of disbanding back into three units with a target date of a three year period. The Timmerman Composite Squadron will disband into three separate units to include: the Milwaukee Emergency Services Squadron, Mitchell Composite Squadron 9, and the Timmerman Composite Squadron.
CIVIL AIR PATROL
Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with more than 56,000 members nationwide. CAP performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and was credited by the AFRCC with saving 90 lives in fiscal year 2008. Its volunteers also perform homeland security, disaster relief and counter-drug missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. The members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to the nearly 22,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. CAP has been performing missions for America for more than 67 years.

Aerospace Education 2009 - Wednesday, January 21, 2009
Check out the Squadron Missions - Aerospace Education tab and see the latest article by Major Schulz, our AE Officer. In this article he outlines our Aerospace mission, Timmerman Composite Squadron's short and long-term goals in AE, introduces the AE staff, and the AE Program for 2009. We have won the Aerospace Education Excellence Award and this is thanks to the fine work that Maj Schulz and his staff have done.
Maj Schulz contributes countless hours, along with the AE staff, to teach the cadets and it pays off. So go ahead and read the article and see some of last year's photos as well. We have another exciting year ahead in the Civil Air Patrol's Aerospace Education Mission.

Do you know who your CAC Representative is? Written by C/Capt Niko Ruud, Thursday, January 08, 2009
As the Chairman for the Wisconsin Wing Cadet Advisory Council (CAC), I have tried to build a
sort of 'new' CAC, and I think the New Year is the perfect way to
reboot this effort. Hopefully, your representatives are contacting you
regularly about Wing Conference and Wisconsin Cadet Academy (WCA).
For many terms, the CAC
has lain dormant as a representative body, and I hope to rejuvenate
this effort with the "Do you know who YOUR representatives are?'
campaign. I feel the CAC is doing little effort in contacting the
cadets about issues around the wing, and they need to be held
accountable to do this!
The first thing you can do is write down
who your representative is in the message board. Every cadet should have
a representative, and it only takes a moment, so go right now and write
down who it is. If the reps see that their cadets know who they are,
then they are more likely to put the extra effort forward in being
there. If you don't know who it is already, ask at your next squadron
meeting, and then post on the board. The squadron with the highest
percentage of cadets responding (out of active cadets) will be honored
with a certificate of appreciation from the CAC!

CONGRATULATIONS Timmerman Composite Squadron Drill Team
November 25 - 26, the 2009 Wisconsin Wing Competition was held at Volk Field with four Color Guards and two Drill Teams in attendance. We are pleased to announce that TCS placed 1st overrall and now advance to the Great Lakes Region Cadet Competition being held May 2 - 3 in Dayton, OH at the Wright-Patterson AFB. Other 1st place awards to TCS include: In-Rank Inspection, Innovative Drill, Standard Drill, Mile Run, and Panel Quiz.
Individuals awards went to:
C/SMSgt Justin Waltho (Drill Team Commander) - Fleet Foot Award C/A1C Brittany Waltho - Fleet Foot Award C/A1C Gavin Chalmers - Overall Cadet for Drill Team Award C/Capt Niko Ruud - Top score in Written Exam (Milwaukee 5 Squadron graciously loaned Cadet Ruud to us for the competition.)
A special thank you to all who participated in this event and helped to make them a winning team. The Drill Team could not have accomplished what they did in so short a time if not for the dedication of time and effort of Capt Kondziella, the Drill Team, and their parents. They had six weeks to organize, plan, and practice their drill. By far, this was not an easy task. Now that is teamwork!
Other winning Drill Team members are: C/MSgt Brittney Donald; C/MSgt Josh Gonwa; C/SSgt Jon Gonwa; C/Amn Devin Hofer; C/Amn Travis Maxwell; C/A1C Jen Waltho.
